Pastoral Care Training Courses

Pastoral Care Associates offers training to professionals, volunteers (from church or hospitals), and staff members.

Lab 1 is a 40 hour course in active listening skills which trains pastoral caregivers in 12 specific different skills:

1. Behavior Description
2. Direct Expression of Feelings
3. Paraphrase
4. Life Commandments
5. Perception Check
6. Story Listening
7. Fogging
8. Neuro-Linguistics
9. Productive
10. Questions
11. Negative Inquiry
12. Story Polarization Listening

This is done in a format of learning through practice in a lab environment. The course is provided through LEAD

PLUS, Leadership Consultants Education Developments Consultants. 

Cost for the 40 hour training per person $800.
