Rev. Dr. Barbara Christian

The Rev. Dr. Barbara Christian is CEO and Founder of Pastoral Care Associates of California (PCAC) and Encouraged Thru The Word Ministry.  She is an ordained Chaplain, minister of the gospel and member of the Oratory of the Sacred Family of Jesus. PCAC is a ministry that trains/equip chaplains and provides chaplain service for hospitals, hospice and healthcare centers. 

She is a graduate of Bethel Christian College and Graduate School of Theology where she received an Associate of Theology, a Bachelor’s of Theology in Biblical Studies, a Master’s of Ministry in Biblical Counseling, M.Div.  and Doctor of Ministry and Theology in Riverside CA.

Dr. Barbara Christian has 6 hours of Continuing Education credits in Pastoral Care from Creighton University (CHI Health), 2 units of Clinical Pastoral Education and is a trainer using LEAD Plus educational and training materials. She is a teacher, preacher and trainer with a focus in active listening skills and pastoral care. 

Rev. Patrick and Rev. Dr. Barbara Christian have been married 51 years and use their gifts in counseling, commitment, and in marriage through the Word of God. They are the proud parents of three adult children, and the grandparents of three.
